The public really wants more information, many turn to alternative news, foreign news, and even some turn to conspiracy theory websites to get more information.
Worse, they wonder how much of that information is real also. Then they take a happy medium and figure most of it is based on some truth, but all is misdirection and less than the reality. That is a sad state of affairs when we think about it. "Whom can you trust they wonder?"
Well, as bad as this dilemma may seem, and even with the unfortunate answer probably being "no one" all this does provide an opportunity; opportunity for the online writer of military topics that is.
When writing military content, it pays to do your homework and read the reports, talk with military people, read the news, and newsletters from the military equipment manufacturers. Also you should read the research reports from all the major Washington DC Think Tanks.
Then you should prepare your articles and content with authority, making sure your articles are accurate and contain the back-up information to prove your data; also, after having written hundreds of articles on military topics, I’ve noticed far too many writers writing anti-war articles.
This also turns out to be an opportunity, in that there are fewer folks writing articles supporting the military and the strength of our nation. It is thus, an unfulfilled niche to exploit online. Please consider all this.
